In this case, the entrepreneur has to make an effort to learn more about the sector so as not to make mistakes that lead him to take false steps and lose money.<\/p>\n<p>These cases illustrate that there is no single recipe that guarantees success when going through the stages of an enterprise. However, it is possible to establish key activities in each one and give guidelines on what to do and what not to do. And it is just what we will try to share in this first article, in which we will talk about the first three stages.<\/p>\n<h2>Stage 1. The Idea<\/h2>\n<p>On business ideas to start and what to do when you have one, there is a lot of literature. But, despite the enormous amount of information that can be obtained, it is not always clear what characterizes this stage and what you must do to focus.<\/p>\n<h3>With a business idea in mind, there are two key aspects that you must analyze:<\/h3>\n<h4>1. Percentage of success versus enthusiasm<\/h4>\n<p>When the idea is new and we have no information about the probability of its success, the enthusiasm it will demand is high. Those who comment on your idea may look at you strangely. So if you don&#039;t have great enthusiasm, you&#039;ll give up fast.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, if it is a proven business idea, you will not require a large dose of enthusiasm. The path to follow will be relatively clear, and it is a matter of executing the tasks.<\/p>\n<p>In short, the important thing is to be convinced of wanting to undertake with your idea and the ideal is to have a great enthusiasm for developing it.<\/p>\n<h4>2. Love or need?<\/h4>\n<p>Another key is whether you undertake out of love or out of necessity. Do you do it because you are passionate about the idea or because you want to have a better income and not have a boss? Both motivations are valid. However, experience indicates that the desire, passion or love for the idea minimizes the possibility of abandoning the venture in the face of the first obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>So the best thing is that there is a lot of passion for the idea. What makes you unique in your style?<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, and although it is not always possible, an activity that could help in this phase is to attract followers for the business idea. For example, friends or family who are enthusiastic and willing to accompany you on the journey to success. Forming a team at this stage is ideal. Two heads think more than one!<\/p>\n<h3>What should you not do at this stage?<\/h3>\n<p>Examples of what not to do: a marketing plan, a human resource management manual; create the structure of the organization, look for management software... Don&#039;t waste time on these activities! You will attend to this in other stages.<\/p>\n<h2>Stage 2. The implementation of the idea<\/h2>\n<p>If you reach this second stage it is because you have convinced yourself that the IDEA is viable. You already have some elements that give you confidence about the success of the business idea. However, you will likely get here without equipment, so you will be on your own. Regular operation<\/h2>\n<p>If you reach this stage it is because you have achieved some income, you are already beginning to bill what is necessary to stay afloat. You have survived the crossing of the desert with the little water you had.
